I didn't think he was OOC at all. A lot of people tend to forget that someone doesn't get over mental/physical trauma in just one day. It lasts for years, a lifetime even. (I especially hate when people tend to take rape for a joke in their fanfics. >C )

But your Jim is just perfect. He has that strong front he tries to keep when he's around people who look up to him, but that pain is still there and when it's just too much, it slowly consumes him...
