I don't often do this (well from this journal anyway, lol) but I thought I'd try to get some ideas to write. I'm working on two big bangs atm (hojesus) and the pinto+karl/zoe sequel, so I'm not sure exactly [Poll #1755138]
Why is Zach sitting in a bar all alone when, all things being equal and intervention aside, he should be on a date? Because it means that, somehow, Chris has chased away yet another of his boyfriends. But Chris is straight, so why does he display all the signs of jealousy? That's what Zach doesn't understand. Unfortunately, it's no good asking Chris for the answer, because he's just as clueless.
i actually wanted to write that prompt(bones/jim married, scotty in love w/bones, spock/jim ending. k/s love story). never got the time. it would be awesome if someone who is good at writing, like you for example write it. i love a laid-back spock who is supporting jim and giving him marriage advice, then he realizes he is in love with jim. so yeah... oh, i should mention that i like the scotty to have more character traits than the Scottish cliche. i think there is a lot more to him.
Adding Bones is pretty much the only way I ever read K/S. ;-) Although there are a few K/S/U fics out there that I like as well.
I wasn't really sure which genre to pick. What I like is angst that gets resolved, which I wasn't sure was quite represented by "angst." I like relationship tension, emotional drama, that sort of thing.
And hurt/comfort. That's a pretty bulletproof one. :-)
Regarding what I won't read, well...everything on the following list I've read at one point or another. But in general I avoid mpreg, WiP's, mirror verse, Kirk/Spock (or really, Spock with anyone other than McCoy), noncon between characters I like (as opposed to offscreen rape by an outside character or something), breathplay, bloodplay, watersports, or graphic violence/torture. And probably other things that I'm forgetting.

The genre question was really hard - I could only pick two? :( While it didn't make my top two, mpreg for some reason is right up there for me so long as there's a kinda plausible justification (like a vistigial organ that gets triggered by near extinction of the species for example), not just because they can.
I'm not sure if this counts as a kink or a prompt, but since you're asking ... I kinda like a little Sulu/Checkov in my K/S :)
