Drabble Spock/Bones

yesterday_girl asked for Spock/Bones… pure fluff.

 ASK AND YE SHALL RECEIVE!

 

Spock tilted his head, looking one last time at the ambiance he had created in recreation room twelve. He had procured the candles with very little trouble. The Captain had smirked at him and agreed to allow them, also acquiescing to Spock’s request that the ships environmental controls be diverted from the lounge for the evening.  Spock had to admit that the aesthetics of having thirty-three candles (one for every week he and Leonard had been in a human relationship) shining at different points in the room, their tiny lights reflecting against the endless stars outside was quite appealing.

 The food had been more of a challenge.  He had found something called “Texas Barbeque” and “Budweiser” for Leonard’s palate. Again, the Captain had assisted him with his food choices, and while the meat looked sufficiently revolting, getting it here, prepared, and on a plate had caused Spock to call in a number of favors from various Starfleet acquaintances.  Spock’s own meal of salad and vegetables looked quite benign laid out across from Leonard’s place setting.

The music was twangy. It had a number of instruments that all sounded agreeable when played individually, but when combined tended to malign Spock’s ears, so he kept it turned down quite low in the background. He was not certain how lyrics about ones mother being in prison could be romantic, but the Captain had again assured him that this was music that Leonard enjoyed.

The doors swished open, and Spock whirled at the soft gasp behind him.

Leonard stood there, looking from Spock, to the candles, to the meal and back to Spock. He didn’t say anything for approximately forty-eight-point-three seconds, and Spock privately admitted that he … felt… some trepidation. Was Leonard going to be disgusted at his overly emotional show of… romanticism? Worse, would he laugh at his attempt?

Spock’s thoughts were interrupted by 1.85 meters of warm human, throwing his arms around Spock’s shoulders.  Before he could speak, familiar fingers came up to stroke softly against his cheekbones, up lightly over the curvature of his ear, causing Spock to have to suppress a shiver. 

Spock could see the tension drain out of his lover’s face. The lips he’d spent so many hours watching before he’d finally gathered the courage to kiss them twitched into the smirking smile that never failed to cause Spock’s heart to flutter in his side.

Their lips met, Spock licking at the cool human lips until they parted on a sigh. Leonard’s mouth was beautiful. Spock’s hand came around to tangle in Leonard’s short hair, cupping his neck and aligning their lips perfectly as he changed the kiss. Leonard had teased him for his penchant for human kissing. Spock returned the favor by kissing him so thoroughly that it took several minutes before Spock remembered that he had planned several other activities for this evening.

He broke off the kiss, attempting to step back. Leonard moved with him so that their foreheads touched, his hands mirroring Spock’s, the grip slightly cool against the back of Spock’s neck.

“Spock, I… This is so…”

His human seemed to be having trouble formulating his normal speech patterns.  Spock raised an eyebrow, lips twitching just slightly.

“I mean... what’s the occasion?  Why did you go to all of this trouble?”

Spock thought for a moment, hand gliding down Leonard’s back to rest heavily on the curve of his hip, pulling them together.

“It’s Tuesday,”

This is just so adorable. I love Spock's sweetness and tenderness for Leonard. The candles - 1 for each week - perfect. Spock's last line - because it is Tuesday - a killer! Man - you need to write Spones - lots nad lots nad lots of it - in fact forever more this whould be your only purpose in life! lol
